When those who disbelieved had put into their hearts chauvinism - the chauvinism of the time of ignorance. But Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believers and imposed upon them the word of righteousness, and they were more deserving of it and worthy of it. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.

When the faithless nourished bigotry in their hearts, the bigotry of pagan ignorance, Allah sent down His composure upon His Apostle and the faithful, and made them abide by the word of Godwariness, for they were the worthiest of it and deserved it, and Allah has knowledge of all things.

When those who disbelieve had set up in their hearts zealotry, the zealotry of the Age of Ignorance, then Allah sent down His peace of reassurance upon His messenger and upon the believers and imposed on them the word of self-restraint, for they were worthy of it and meet for it. And Allah is Aware of all things.

While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things.

When the unbelievers set in their hearts fierceness, the fierceness of pagandom, then God sent down His Shechina upon His Messenger and the believers, and fastened to them the word of godfearing to which they have better right and are worthy of; and God has' knowledge of everything.

[یاد کن] هنگامی را که کافران [پس از قرارداد صلح حدیبیه] دل هایشان را از تعصّب و خشم شدید جاهلی آکنده کردند، پس خدا هم آرامشش را بر پیامبرش و مؤمنان نازل کرد و روح تقوا را [که حقیقت و جان توحید است] ملازم آنان نمود، و آنان به [روح تقوا] سزاوارتر و شایسته آن بودند؛ و خدا همواره به هر چیز داناست.

آنگاه که کافران در دلهای خود، تعصّب [آن هم‌] تعصّب جاهلیّت ورزیدند، پس خدا آرامش خود را بر فرستاده خویش و بر مؤمنان فرو فرستاد، و آرمان تقوا را ملازم آنان ساخت، و [در واقع‌] آنان به [رعایت ]آن [آرمان‌] سزاوارتر و شایسته [اتصاف به‌] آن بودند، و خدا همواره بر هر چیزی داناست.

İnkar edenler, gönüllerindeki cahiliyye çağının asabiyet ateşini ateşlendirdiklerinde, Allah, Peygamberine ve inananlara huzur indirdi; onların takva sözünü tutmalarını sağladı. Onlar, bu söze layık ve ehil kimselerdi. Allah her şeyi bilmektedir.

Ketika orang-orang kafir menanamkan dalam hati mereka kesombongan (yaitu) kesombongan jahiliyah lalu Allah menurunkan ketenangan kepada Rasul-Nya, dan kepada orang-orang mukmin dan Allah mewajibkan kepada mereka kalimat-takwa dan adalah mereka berhak dengan kalimat takwa itu dan patut memilikinya. Dan adalah Allah Maha Mengetahui segala sesuatu.

یہ اس وقت کی بات ہے جب کفار نے اپنے دلوں میں زمانہ جاہلیت جیسی ضد قرار دے لی تھی کہ تم کو مکہ میں داخل نہ ہونے دیں گے تو اللہ نے اپنے رسول اور صاحبانِ ایمان پر سکون نازل کردیا اور انہیں کلمہ تقویٰ پر قائم رکھا اور وہ اسی کے حقدار اور اہل بھی تھے اور اللہ تو ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے

কেননা, কাফেররা তাদের অন্তরে মূর্খতাযুগের জেদ পোষণ করত। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল ও মুমিনদের উপর স্বীয় প্রশান্তি নাযিল করলেন এবং তাদের জন্যে সংযমের দায়িত্ব অপরিহার্য করে দিলেন। বস্তুতঃ তারাই ছিল এর অধিকতর যোগ্য ও উপযুক্ত। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
