And [mention] when We raised the mountain above them as if it was a dark cloud and they were certain that it would fall upon them, [and Allah said], "Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you might fear Allah."

When We plucked the mountain [and held it] above them as if it were a canopy (and they thought it was about to fall on them): ‘Hold on with power to what We have given you and remember that which is in it, so that you may be Godwary.’

And when We shook the Mount above them as it were a covering, and they supposed that it was going to fall upon them (and We said): Hold fast that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein, that ye may ward off (evil).

When We shook the Mount over them, as if it had been a canopy, and they thought it was going to fall on them (We said): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein; perchance ye may fear Allah."

And when We shook the mountain above them as if it were a canopy, and they supposed it was about to fall on them: 'Take forcefully what We have given you, and remember what is in it; haply you will be godfearing.'

و [یاد کنید] هنگامی [را] که کوه [طور] را برکندیم، [و] چنان که گویی سایبانی است بالای سرشان قرار دادیم و [به خاطرضعف ایمان] پنداشتند که بر سرشان سقوط می کند. [به آنان گفتیم:] آنچه [از کتاب، شریعت و احکام] به شما داده ایم با قدرت [ی تمام و عزمی استوار] بگیرید، و آنچه [از معارف و حقایق] در آن است متذکّر شوید [و فرا گیرید و همواره به خاطر داشته باشید] تا [با عمل به آن] پرهیزکار شوید.

و [یاد کن‌] هنگامی را که کوه [طور] را بر فرازشان سایبان‌آسا، برافراشتیم، و چنان پنداشتند که [کوه‌] بر سرشان فرو خواهد افتاد. [و گفتیم:] آنچه را که به شما داده‌ایم به جدّ و جهد بگیرید، و آنچه را در آن است به یاد داشته باشید. شاید که پرهیزگار شوید.

Tur dağını, gölgelik gibi onların üzerlerine yükseltmiştik, onlar tepelerine düşeceğini sanmışlardı. Onlara: "Size verdiğimiz Kitap'a sıkıca sarılın, içinde olanı düşünün ki sakınanlardan olasınız" demiştik.

Dan (ingatlah), ketika Kami mengangkat bukit ke atas mereka seakan-akan bukit itu naungan awan dan mereka yakin bahwa bukit itu akan jatuh menimpa mereka. (Dan Kami katakan kepada mereka): "Peganglah dengan teguh apa yang telah Kami berikan kepadamu, serta ingatlah selalu (amalkanlah) apa yang tersebut di dalamnya supaya kamu menjadi orang-orang yang bertakwa".

اور اس وقت کو یاد دلِاؤ جب ہم نے پہاڑ کو ایک سائبان کی طرح ان کے سروں پر معلّق کردیا اور انہوں نے گمان کرلیا کہ یہ اب گرنے والا ہے تو ہم نے کہا کہ توریت کو مضبوطی کے ساتھ پکڑو اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے اسے یاد کرو شاید اس طرح متقی اور پرہیزگار بن جاؤ

আর যখন আমি তুলে ধরলাম পাহাড়কে তাদের উপরে সামিয়ানার মত এবং তারা ভয় করতে লাগল যে, সেটি তাদের উপর পড়বে, তখন আমি বললাম, ধর, যা আমি তোমাদের দিয়েছি, দৃঢ়ভাবে এবং স্মরণ রেখো যা তাতে রয়েছে, যেন তোমরা বাঁচতে পার।
