عَنِ ٱلَّتِى إِذْ فِى إِذْ لَا لَا كَذَٰلِكَ بِمَا ﴿١٦٣﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And ask them about the town that was by the sea - when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath - when their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day, and the day they had no sabbath they did not come to them. Thus did We give them trial because they were defiantly disobedient.

محل سکونت اصحاب سّبت

در این آیه» صفحةٌ دیگری از تاریخ پرماجرای بنی‌اسرائیل آمده است. این سرگذشت - چنان‌که در روایات اسلامی به آن اشاره شده - مربوط به جمعی از بنی‌اسرائیل است که در ساحل یکی از دریاها (ظاهراً دریای احمر که در کنار سرزمین فلسطین قرار دارد) در بندری به نام «ایله» که امروز به ایلات معروف استء زندگی می‌کردند. خداوند برای آزمایش و امتحان» دستوری به آنها داد و فرمود که صید ماهی را در روز شنبه تعطیل کنند؛ اما آنها با آن دستور مخالفت کردند و گرفتار مجازات دردناکی شدند.

آزمایش با چیزهای پرجاذبه
