لَّهَا ذَٰلِكَ ﴿٣٨﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

حرکت انتقالی خورشید

این آیه به وضوح حرکت مستمر خورشید را بیان می‌کند؛ اما در این که منظور از این حرکت چیست» مفسران بحث‌های فراوانی دارند. آخرین و جدیدترین تفسیر برای آیه این است که دانشمندان به تازگی کشف کرده‌اند که خورشید با مجموعة منظومة شمسی در وسط کهکشان ما به سوی یک سمت معین و ستارةٌ دوردستی که آن را وگا نامیده‌اندء در حرکت است. طبق تحقیقات» حرکت دورانی» کهکشان خورشید را با سرعت حدود یک میلیون و صد و سی هزار کیلومتر در ساعت در فضا می‌گرداند؛ اما در داخل کهکشان هم خورشید ثابت نیست؛ بلکه با سرعت قریب هفتاد و دو هزار و چهارصد کیلومتر در ساعت به جانب صورت فلکی «الجائیٌ علی رُکَبنَیه» حرکت می‌کند. این صورت فلکی, مجموعه‌ای از ستارگان و شبیه کسی است که بر سر زانو نشسته و آمادةٌ برخاستن است و نام آن نیز از همین معنی گرفته شده است. اما این که ما از حرکت سریع خورشید در فضا بی‌خبریم» به سبب دوری اجرام فلکی است. دورةٌ حرکت وضعی خورشیده در استوای آن حدود بیست و پنج شبانه‌روز طول می‌کشد؛ یعنی خورشید در بیست و پنج شبانه‌روز یک بار به دور خود می‌گردد. این موضوع را دانشمندان با مطالعةٌ کلف‌ها یا لکه‌های سطحی خورشید به دست آورده‌اند؛ زیرا دیده‌اند که این کلف‌ها جابه‌جا می‌شوند و بعد از بیست و پنج روز کاملاً به جای خود باز می‌گردند. برای این آیه. برای این آیه تفاسیر دیگری نیز شده است.
