در ذیل آَیةُ یکم سورة بقره در بارةٌ حروف مقطعه توضیح داده شد. آنچه لازم است در اینجا اضافه کنیم» این است که در خصوص حروف مقطعةٌ این سوره» دو دسته روایت در منابع اسلامی دیده می‌شود: نخست. روایاتی است که هر یک از این حروف را اشاره به یکی از اسماء بزرگ خداوند (اسماءالحسنی) می‌داند: «کاف»» اشاره به کافی؛ «هاء»» اشاره به هادی؛ «یاء» اشاره به ولی؛ «عین» اشاره به عالم و «ص»» اشاره به صادق‌الوعد که همگی از اسماءالحسنی است. دومء روایاتی است که این حروف مقطعه را به داستان قیام امام حسین(ع) در کربلا ربط داده است: «کاف»» اشاره به کربلا؛ «هاء»» اشاره به هلاک خاندان پیامبر؛ «یاء»» اشاره به یزید؛ «عین»» اشاره به عطش؛ «صاد»» اشاره به صبر امام حسین(ع) و یاران جانبازش. باید توجه داشت آیات قرآَن» تاب معانی گوناگونی را دارد و گاه مفاهیمی را از گذشته و آینده بیان می‌کند که در عین تنوعء منافاتی با هم ندارند؛ در حالی که اگر معنا را به یک تفسیر منحصر کنیم» ممکن است از نظر وضع نزول آیه و زمان آن کَرفتار اشکالاتی بشویم. > **Cited sources** (grade before any load-bearing use): al-Kāfī.
