فِى أَنَّكُمْ وَأَنَّ ﴿٢﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months but know that you cannot cause failure to Allah and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

فرصت چهارماهةٌ مشرکان

منظور از سیر و سیاحت چهارماهه در زمین» در امنیت بودن آنها در این چهار ماه است تا در این مدت خوب بیندیشند و آنچه را که به سودشان است» انتخاب کنند؛ یا مسلمان شوند و زنده بمانند یا مشرک بمانند و نابود گردند. این آزادی موقتء» یکی از افتخارات حکومت جوان اسلام بود که به دشمنان مهلت داد در این مدت بیندیشند تا شاید از طریق عقل و خرده» راه سعادت را پیدا کنند یا به هر کجا بخواهندء پناه ببرند و اگر برای صف آرایی نیاز به تجهیزات دارند» خود را مجز کنند. اگر دولت جوان اسلام» اهل صداقت نبود, می توانست با یک شبیخون همه را درهم بکوید و متلاشی کند. این چهار ماه از روز حج اکبر (عید قربان) سال نزول این یات (سال نهم هجرت) آغاز شد و روز دهم ماه ربیع‌الثانی سال بعدش به اتمام رسید. منظور از ماه‌های حرام در أَیةٌ ۵ نیز همین چهار ماه است؛ نه ماه های حرامی که جنگ و قتال در آن ماه‌ها حرام است (رجبء ذی‌قعده» ذی‌حجه و محرم).
