إِن عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ لَهَا ﴿٤﴾

ایمان اجباری ارزشی ندارد

این آیه به این نکته اشاره دارد که گرچه خداوند می‌تواند معجزهٌ خیره کننده یا عذاب شدید و وحشتناکی برای کافران فرو فرستد که همگی بی‌اختیار سر تعظیم در برابر آن فرود آورند و تسلیم شوندء این ایمان اجباری ارزشی ندارد و ارزنده این است که از روی اراده و تصمیم و درک و اندیشه در برابر حق خاضع گردند. در روایتی از امیرالموّمنین(ع) ذیل این آیه آمده که «اگر خدا می‌خواست از آسمان نشانه‌ای نازل می‌کرد که گردن‌های آنها در برابر آن خاضع گردد و اگر چنین می‌کرد. آزمون از همة مردم ساقط می‌شد». امام صادق(ع) در تفسیر این آیه فرموده است: منظور از طغیانگران. بنی‌امیه هستند که به هنگام قیام مهدی(عج)» نشانه‌ای آسمانی را می‌بینند و ناچار در برابر آن تسلیم می‌شوند.» روشن است که منظور این روایت» بیان مصداقی از مفهوم وسیع آیه است که سرانجام به هنگام ظهور حضرت مهدی(عج) رهبر حکومت جهانی» تمام حکومت‌های ظلم و جور که خط بنی‌امیه را ادامه می‌دهند, به حکم اجبار در برابر قدرت او و حمایت‌های الهی سر تسلیم فرود می‌آورند.
