He said, "Indeed, I wish to wed you one of these, my two daughters, on [the condition] that you serve me for eight years; but if you complete ten, it will be [as a favor] from you. And I do not wish to put you in difficulty. You will find me, if Allah wills, from among the righteous."

He said, ‘Indeed I desire to marry you to one of these two daughters of mine, on condition that you hire yourself to me for eight years. And if you complete ten, that will be up to you, and I do not want to be hard on you. God willing, you will find me to a righteous person.’

He said: Lo! I fain would marry thee to one of these two daughters of mine on condition that thou hirest thyself to me for (the term of) eight pilgrimages. Then if thou completest ten it will be of thine own accord, for I would not make it hard for thee. Allah willing, thou wilt find me of the righteous.

He said: "I intend to wed one of these my daughters to thee, on condition that thou serve me for eight years; but if thou complete ten years, it will be (grace) from thee. But I intend not to place thee under a difficulty: thou wilt find me, indeed, if Allah wills, one of the righteous."

He said, 'I desire to marry thee to one of these my two daughters, on condition that thou hirest thyself to me for eight years. If thou completest ten, that shall be of thy own accord; I do not desire to' press hard 'upon thee. Thou shalt assuredly find me, if God wills, one of the righteous.'

گفت: می خواهم یکی از این دو دخترم را به نکاح تو درآورم به شرط آنکه هشت سال اجیر من باشی، و اگر ده سال را تمام کردی، اختیارش با خود توست [و ربطی به اصل قرار داد ندارد]، و من نمی خواهم بر تو سخت گیرم، و به خواست خدا مرا از شایستگان خواهی یافت.

[شعیب‌] گفت: «من می‌خواهم یکی از این دو دختر خود را [که مشاهده می‌کنی‌] به نکاح تو در آورم، به این [شرط] که هشت سال برای من کار کنی، و اگر ده سال را تمام گردانی اختیار با تو است، و نمی‌خواهم بر تو سخت گیرم، و مرا ان شاء الله از درستکاران خواهی یافت.»

Kadınların babası: "Bana sekiz yıl çalışmana karşılık bu iki kızımdan birini sana nikahlamak istiyorum. Eğer on yıla tamamlarsan o senden bir lütuf olur. Ama sana ağırlık vermek istemem. İnşallah beni iyi kimselerden bulacaksın" dedi.

Berkatalah dia (Syu'aib): "Sesungguhnya aku bermaksud menikahkan kamu dengan salah seorang dari kedua anakku ini, atas dasar bahwa kamu bekerja denganku delapan tahun dan jika kamu cukupkan sepuluh tahun maka itu adalah (suatu kebaikan) dari kamu, maka aku tidak hendak memberati kamu. Dan kamu Insya Allah akan mendapatiku termasuk orang-orang yang baik".

انہوں نے کہا کہ میں ان دونوں میں سے ایک بیٹی کا عقد آپ سے کرنا چاہتا ہوں بشرطیکہ آپ آٹھ سال تک میری خدمت کریں پھر اگر دس سال پورے کردیں تو یہ آپ کی طرف سے ہوگا اور میں آپ کو کوئی زحمت نہیں دینا چاہتا ہوں انشائ اللہ آپ مجھے نیک بندوں میں سے پائیں گے

পিতা মূসাকে বললেন, আমি আমার এই কন্যাদ্বয়ের একজনকে তোমার সাথে বিবাহে দিতে চাই এই শর্তে যে, তুমি আট বছর আমার চাকুরী করবে, যদি তুমি দশ বছর পূর্ণ কর, তা তোমার ইচ্ছা। আমি তোমাকে কষ্ট দিতে চাই না। আল্লাহ চাহেন তো তুমি আমাকে সৎকর্মপরায়ণ পাবে।
