O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

O you who have faith! Let not any people ridicule another people: it may be that they are better than they are; nor let women [ridicule] women: it may be that they are better than they are. And do not defame one another, nor insult one another by [calling] nicknames. How evil are profane names subsequent to faith! As for those who are not penitent [of their past conduct]—such are the wrongdoers.

O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers.

O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.

O believers, let not any people scoff at another people who may be better than they; neither let women scoff at women who may be better than themselves. And find not fault with one another, neither revile one another by nicknames. An evil name is ungodliness after belief. And whoso repents not, those -- they are the evildoers.

ای اهل ایمان! نباید گروهی گروه دیگر را مسخره کنند، شاید مسخره شده ها از مسخره کنندگان بهتر باشند، ونباید زنانی زنان دیگر را [مسخره کنند] شاید مسخره شده ها از مسخره کنندگان بهتر باشند، و از یکدیگر عیب جویی نکنید و با لقب های زشت و ناپسند یکدیگر را صدا نزنید؛ بد نشانه و علامتی است اینکه انسانی را پس از ایمان آوردنش به لقب زشت علامت گذاری کنند. و کسانی که [از این امور ناهنجار و زشت] توبه نکنند، خود ستمکارند.

ای کسانی که ایمان آورده‌اید، نباید قومی قوم دیگر را ریشخند کند، شاید آنها از اینها بهتر باشند، و نباید زنانی زنان [دیگر] را [ریشخند کنند ]، شاید آنها از اینها بهتر باشند، و از یکدیگر عیب مگیرید، و به همدیگر لقبهای زشت مدهید؛ چه ناپسندیده است نام زشت پس از ایمان. و هر که توبه نکرد آنان خود ستمکارند.

Ey inananlar! Bir topluluk bir diğerini alaya almasın, belki de onlar kendilerinden daha iyidirler. Kadınlar da başka kadınları alaya almasınlar, belki onlar kendilerinden daha iyidirler. Kendi kendinizi ayıplamayın; birbirinizi kötü lakaplarla çağırmayın; inandıktan sonra yoldan çıkmış olmak ne kötü bir addır. Tevbe etmeyenler, işte onlar zalimlerdir.

Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah sekumpulan orang laki-laki merendahkan kumpulan yang lain, boleh jadi yang ditertawakan itu lebih baik dari mereka. Dan jangan pula sekumpulan perempuan merendahkan kumpulan lainnya, boleh jadi yang direndahkan itu lebih baik. Dan janganlah suka mencela dirimu sendiri dan jangan memanggil dengan gelaran yang mengandung ejekan. Seburuk-buruk panggilan adalah (panggilan) yang buruk sesudah iman dan barangsiapa yang tidak bertobat, maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang zalim.

ایمان والو خبردار کوئی قوم دوسری قوم کا مذاق نہ اڑائے کہ شاید وہ اس سے بہتر ہو اور عورتوں کی بھی کوئی جماعت دوسری جماعت کا مسخرہ نہ کرے کہ شاید وہی عورتیں ان سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو طعنے بھی نہ دینا اور اِرے اِرے القاب سے یاد بھی نہ کرنا کہ ایمان کے بعد بدکاریً کا نام ہی بہت اِرا ہے اور جو شخص بھی توبہ نہ کرے تو سمجھو کہ یہی لوگ درحقیقت ظالمین ہیں

মুমিনগণ, কেউ যেন অপর কাউকে উপহাস না করে। কেননা, সে উপহাসকারী অপেক্ষা উত্তম হতে পারে এবং কোন নারী অপর নারীকেও যেন উপহাস না করে। কেননা, সে উপহাসকারিণী অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ হতে পারে। তোমরা একে অপরের প্রতি দোষারোপ করো না এবং একে অপরকে মন্দ নামে ডেকো না। কেউ বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলে তাদের মন্দ নামে ডাকা গোনাহ। যারা এহেন কাজ থেকে তওবা না করে তারাই যালেম।
