There is no blame upon you if you divorce women you have not touched nor specified for them an obligation. But give them [a gift of] compensation - the wealthy according to his capability and the poor according to his capability - a provision according to what is acceptable, a duty upon the doers of good.

There is no sin upon you if you divorce women while you have not yet touched them or settled a dowry for them. Yet provide for them—the well-off according to his capacity, and the poorly-off according to his capacity—with a sustenance that is honourable, an obligation on the virtuous.

It is no sin for you if ye divorce women while yet ye have not touched them, nor appointed unto them a portion. Provide for them, the rich according to his means, and the straitened according to his means, a fair provision. (This is) a bounden duty for those who do good.

There is no blame on you if ye divorce women before consummation or the fixation of their dower; but bestow on them (A suitable gift), the wealthy according to his means, and the poor according to his means;- A gift of a reasonable amount is due from those who wish to do the right thing.

There is no fault in you, if you divorce women while as yet you have not touched them nor appointed any marriage-portion for them; yet make provision for them, the affluent man according to his means, and according to his means the needy man, honourably -- an obligation on the good-doers.

اگر زنان را پیش از آمیزش جنسی یا تعیین مهریه طلاق دادید [در این طلاق] بر شما گناهی نیست؛ و [در چنین موقعیتی بر شما واجب است] آنان را [از مال خود] بهره ای شایسته و متعارف دهید؛ توانگر به اندازه خویش، و تنگدست به اندازه خویش که این حقّی لازم بر عهده نیکوکاران است.

اگر زنان را، مادامی که با آنان نزدیکی نکرده و بر ایشان مَهری [نیز] معین نکرده‌اید، طلاق گویید، بر شما گناهی نیست، و آنان را به طور پسندیده، به نوعی بهره‌مند کنید -توانگر به اندازه [توان‌] خود، و تنگدست به اندازه [وسع‌] خود. [این کاری است‌] شایسته نیکوکاران.

Kadınlara el sürmeden ve mehirlerini biçmeden onları boşarsanız size sorumluluk yoktur. Onları zengin kendi çapına, fakir kendi çapına uygun bir şekilde faydalandırın. Bu iyi davrananların şanına yakışır bir borçtur.

Tidak ada kewajiban membayar (mahar) atas kamu, jika kamu menceraikan isteri-isteri kamu sebelum kamu bercampur dengan mereka dan sebelum kamu menentukan maharnya. Dan hendaklah kamu berikan suatu mut'ah (pemberian) kepada mereka. Orang yang mampu menurut kemampuannya dan orang yang miskin menurut kemampuannya (pula), yaitu pemberian menurut yang patut. Yang demikian itu merupakan ketentuan bagi orang-orang yang berbuat kebajikan.

اور تم پر کوئی ذمہ داری نہیں ہے اگر تم نے عورتوں کو اس وقت طلاق دے دی جب کہ ان کو چھوا بھی نہیں ہے اور ان کے لئے کوئی مہر بھی معین نہیں کیا ہے البتہ انہیں کچھ مال و متاع دیدو. مالدار اپنی حیثیت کے مطابق اور غریب اپنی حیثیت کے مطابق. یہ متاع بقدر مناسب ہونا ضروری ہے کہ یہ نیک کرداروں پر ایک حق ہے

স্ত্রীদেরকে স্পর্শ করার আগে এবং কোন মোহর সাব্যস্ত করার পূর্বেও যদি তালাক দিয়ে দাও, তবে তাতেও তোমাদের কোন পাপ নেই। তবে তাদেরকে কিছু খরচ দেবে। আর সামর্থ্যবানদের জন্য তাদের সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী এবং কম সামর্থ্যবানদের জন্য তাদের সাধ্য অনুযায়ী। যে খরচ প্রচলিত রয়েছে তা সৎকর্মশীলদের উপর দায়িত্ব।
