إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا مِن جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا ﴿٩٨﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.

معبودانی در آتش؛ معبودانی دور از آتش

در روایتی از امام باقر(ع) نقل شده است: «هنگامی که آیة ۹۸ سورةٌ انبیاء نازل شد. اهل مکه از شنیدن آن دچار وحشت زیادی شدند. پس عبدالّه بن زبعری وارد مکه شد و دید که کفار قریش همه در بارةٌ این آیه گفت‌وگو می‌کنند. ابن زبعری پرسید: این حرف محمد است؟ گفتند: آری. گفت: اگر خودش به آن اعتراف کند. من با او مخاصمه می‌کنم. پس او و محمد را یک جا ملاقات دادند. ابن زبعری پرسید: آیا این جمله‌ای که خواندی, تنها در بارة ما و خدایان ماست. یا در بارةٌ همةٌ امت‌های بت‌پرست و خدایانشان نیز هست؟ پیامبر(ص) فرمود: در بارةُ شما و خدایانتان و همه امت‌ها و خدایانشان است مگر آن کسانی که خدا خود استثنا کرده است. ابن زبعری گفت: به خدا سوگند. الآن تو را مجاب خواهم کرد. مگر تو نبودی که در بارة عیسی توصیف خوب و خیر می‌کردی؛ با این‌که می‌دانسی نصاری, عیسی و مادرش را می‌پرستند؟ همچنین گروهی از مردم. فرشتگان را پرستش می‌کنند؛ آیا آن مردم و معبودهایشان در آتش نیستند؟! اگر هستند, پس عیسی و فرشتگان هم در آتش خواهند بود؟ پیامبر(ص) فرمود: نه. عیسی و فرشتگان در آتش نیستند. پس قریش جنجال کرده» خنده سر دادند و گفتند: این زبعصری خوب مجابت کرد. پیامبر(ص) فرمود: سخن مرا نفهمیدید و بیهوده جنجال می‌کنید. مگر من نگفتم به‌جز کسانی که خدا خود استثنا کرده؟ مقصودم این کلام خدا بود که می‌فرماید: «ان الذین سبقت لهم منا الحسنی...».»
