Saheeh International

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

  • إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ

    When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."

  • إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

    When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

  • فَأَوْجَسَ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ خِيفَةً مُّوسَىٰ

    And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.

  • وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا

    And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief.
