لَنْ مَعَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ مِّنَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن بِكُمْ فَلَمَّآ عَلَىٰ مَا ﴿٦٦﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

[Jacob] said, "Never will I send him with you until you give me a promise by Allah that you will bring him [back] to me, unless you should be surrounded by enemies." And when they had given their promise, he said, "Allah, over what we say, is Witness."

انصاف یعقوب

در بارهٌ جملةٌ «مگر این‌که (بر اثر مرگ با علت دیگر) قدرت از شما سلب گردد» مفسران گفته‌اند که ذکر این استثناء نشانه‌ای از درایت و انصاف یعقوب پیامبر(ع) است که با آن همه علاقه‌ای که به فرزندش بنیامین داشت» به فرزندان دیگر تکلیف خارج از حدٌ توان نکرد و گفت: من فرزندم را از شما می‌خواهم؛ مگر این که حوادثی پیش آید که از قدرت شما بیرون باشد؛ که در این صورت, گناهی متوجه شما نیست.

  • قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ أَيَّمَا ٱلْأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ فَلَا عُدْوَٰنَ عَلَىَّ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ

    [Moses] said, "That is [established] between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I complete - there is no injustice to me, and Allah, over what we say, is Witness."

  • ذَٰلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّى لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى كَيْدَ ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ

    That is so al-'Azeez will know that I did not betray him in [his] absence and that Allah does not guide the plan of betrayers.
