The idea
Where you pause matters for meaning, and the word-ending changes when you stop: the final short vowel drops; a tanwīn fatḥ becomes a long ā (كِتَابًا → kitābā) — but on a tāʾ marbūṭa the ending instead becomes a silent h (رَحْمَةً → raḥmah, never raḥmā). The muṣḥaf's small letters (مـ لا ج صلي قلي) advise where to stop, continue, or briefly pause. This layer is interpretive — the app shows the signs and teaches the endings; it never forces a stop.
