آثار ایمان و کفر

قرآن برای مرزهای جغرافیایی و نژادی و طبقاتی و مانند آن که انسان‌ها را از یکدیگر جدا می‌کند اهمیتی قائل نیست. از نظر قرآن» تنها مرزء مرز ایمان و کفر است و به این ترتیب» تمام جامعةٌ انسانی را به دو گروه موّمن و کافر تقسیم می‌کند. قرآن بارها ایمان را به نور» و کفر را به تاریکی تشبیه کرده است. این تشبیه, زنده‌ترین معرف قرآنی برای کفر و ایمان است. یمان نوعی درک و دید باطنی» نوعی علم و آگاهی توأم با عقیدةٌ قلبی و جنیش و حرکت و نوعی باور است که در اعماق جان انسان نفوذ می‌کند و سرچشمة فعالیت‌های سازنده می‌شود؛ اما کفر» جهل است و ناآگاهی و ناباوری که نتیجهٌ آن عدم تحرک و فقدان احساس مسئولیت و حرکت‌های شیطانی و منحرف است. این را نیز می‌دانیم که نور در جهان ماده» مبداً هر گونه حیات و حرکت و رشد و نمو در انسان و حیوان و گیاه است؛ به عکس, ظلمت و تاریکی» عامل خاموشی و خواب و - درصورت ادامه - موجب مرگ و نابودی حیات است. بنابر این جای تعجب نیست که در این آیات، ایمان و کفر دریک جابه نور و ظلمت و در جای دیگر به حیات و مرگ و در دیگر جا به سای آرام‌بخش و باد سوزان و در جای دیگر به بینایی و نابینایی تشبیه گردیده و همه گفتنی‌ها در ضمن این چهار تشبیه بیان شده است. هنگامی که با یک فرد موّمن نشست و برخاست می‌کنیم» اثر این نور را در تمام وجودش احساس می‌کنیم: افکارش» روشنی‌بخش و سخنانش درخشنده است و اعمال و اخلاق ما را با حقیقت زندگی و حیات واقعی اشنا می‌کند؛ اما کافر از تمام وجودش ظلمت می‌بارد. جز به منافع مادی و زودگذر خویش نمی‌اندیشد و افق فکرش از محدودة زندگی شخصی‌اش فراتر نمی‌رود. در شهوات غوطه‌ور است و هم‌نشینی او قلب و روح انسان را در امواج ظلمت فرو می‌برد.
