But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.

Those who cannot afford marriage should be continent until Allah enriches them out of His grace. As for those who seek an emancipation deal from among your slaves, make such a deal with them if you know any good in them, and give them out of the wealth of Allah which He has given you. Do not compel your female slaves to prostitution when they desire to be chaste, seeking the transitory wares of the life of this world. Should anyone compel them, Allah will be forgiving and merciful to them following their compulsion.

And let those who cannot find a match keep chaste till Allah give them independence by His grace. And such of your slaves as seek a writing (of emancipation), write it for them if ye are aware of aught of good in them, and bestow upon them of the wealth of Allah which He hath bestowed upon you. Force not your slave-girls to whoredom that ye may seek enjoyment of the life of the world, if they would preserve their chastity. And if one force them, then (unto them), after their compulsion, lo! Allah will be Forgiving, Merciful.

Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which Allah has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),

و کسانی که [وسیله] ازدواجی نمی یابند باید پاکدامنی پیشه کنند تا خدا آنان را از فضل خود توانگرشان سازد. و کسانی از بردگانتان که درخواست نوشتن قرارداد [برای فعالیت اقتصادی و پرداخت مبلغی به مالک خود برای آزاد شدن] دارند، اگر در آنان [برای عقد این قرارداد] شایستگی سراغ دارید با آنان قرارداد ببندید، و چیزی از مال خدا را که به شما عطا کرده است به آنان بدهید، و کنیزان خود را که می خواهند پاکدامن باشند، برای به دست آوردن متاع ناچیز و زودگذر زندگی دنیا به زنا وادار مکنید، و هر که آنان را وادار [به زنا] کند، به یقین خدا پس از مجبور شدنشان [نسبت به آنان] بسیار آمرزنده و مهربان است.

و کسانی که [وسیله‌] زناشویی نمی‌یابند، باید عفت ورزند تا خدا آنان را از فضل خویش بی‌نیاز گرداند. و از میان غلامانتان، کسانی که در صددند با قرارداد کتبی، خود را آزاد کنند، اگر در آنان خیری [و توانایی پرداخت مال‌] می‌یابید، قرارِ بازخریدِ آنها را بنویسید، و از آن مالی که خدا به شما داده است به ایشان بدهید [تا تدریجاً خود را آزاد کنند]، و کنیزان خود را -در صورتی که تمایل به پاکدامنی دارند- برای اینکه متاع زندگی دنیا را بجویید، به زنا وادار مکنید، و هر کس آنان را به زور وادار کند، در حقیقت، خدا پس از اجبار نمودن ایشان، [نسبت به آنها] آمرزنده مهربان است.

Evlenemeyenler, Allah kendilerini lütfü ile zenginleştirene kadar iffetli davransınlar. Kölelerinizden hür olmak için bedel vermek isteyenlerin, onlarda bir iyilik görürseniz, bedel vermelerini kabul edin. Onlara Allah'ın size verdiği maldan verin. Dünya hayatının geçici menfaatini elde etmek için, iffetli olmak isteyen cariyelerinizi fuhşa zorlamayın. Kim onları buna zorlarsa bilsin ki Allah hiç şüphesiz onu değil zorlanan kadınları bağışlar ve merhamet eder.

Dan orang-orang yang tidak mampu kawin hendaklah menjaga kesucian (diri)nya, sehingga Allah memampukan mereka dengan karunia-Nya. Dan budak-budak yang kamu miliki yang memginginkan perjanjian, hendaklah kamu buat perjanjian dengan mereka, jika kamu mengetahui ada kebaikan pada mereka, dan berikanlah kepada mereka sebahagian dari harta Allah yang dikaruniakan-Nya kepadamu. Dan janganlah kamu paksa budak-budak wanitamu untuk melakukan pelacuran, sedang mereka sendiri mengingini kesucian, karena kamu hendak mencari keuntungan duniawi. Dan barangsiapa yang memaksa mereka, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang (kepada mereka) sesudah mereka dipaksa itu.

اور جو لوگ نکاح کی وسعت نہیں رکھتے ہیں وہ بھی اپنی عفت کا تحفظ کریں یہاں تک کہ خدا اپنے فضل سے انہیں غنی بنا دے اور جو غلام و کنیز مکاتبت کے طلبگار ہیں ان میں خیر دیکھو تو ان سے مکاتبت کرلو بلکہ جو مال خدا نے تمہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے کچھ انہیں بھی دے دو اور خبردار اپنی کنیزوں کو اگر وہ پاکدامنی کی خواہشمند ہیں تو زنا پر مجبور نہ کرنا کہ ان سے زندگانی دنیا کا فائدہ حاصل کرنا چاہو کہ جو بھی انہیں مجبور کرے گا خدا مجبوری کے بعد ان عورتوں کے حق میں بہت زیادہ بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے

যারা বিবাহে সামর্থ নয়, তারা যেন সংযম অবলম্বন করে যে পর্যন্ত না আল্লাহ নিজ অনুগ্রহে তাদেরকে অভাবমুক্ত করে দেন। তোমাদের অধিকারভুক্তদের মধ্যে যারা মুক্তির জন্য লিখিত চুক্তি করতে চায়, তাদের সাথে তোমরা লিখিত চুক্তি কর যদি জান যে, তাদের মধ্যে কল্যাণ আছে। আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যে, অর্থ-কড়ি দিয়েছেন, তা থেকে তাদেরকে দান কর। তোমাদের দাসীরা নিজেদের পবিত্রতা রক্ষা করতে চাইলে তোমরা পার্থিব জীবনের সম্পদের লালসায় তাদেরকে ব্যভিচারে বাধ্য কারো না। যদি কেহ তাদের উপর জোর-জবরদস্তি করে, তবে তাদের উপর জোর-জবরদস্তির পর আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
