عَن مَّن عَن وَلَمْ إِلَّا ﴿٢٩﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.

  • وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ

    And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

  • فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

    But if they turn away, [O Muhammad] - then only upon you is [responsibility for] clear notification.

  • وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوسًا

    And when We bestow favor upon the disbeliever, he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing.

  • أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ

    Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?
