  • ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ

    And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].

    But when he gave them from His bounty, they were stingy with it and turned away while they refused.

    But the righteous one will avoid it -

  • ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ

    Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."

  • فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَآئِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    So he left it, fearful and anticipating [apprehension]. He said, "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."

  • يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ

    He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
